The Purification Chamber allows the player to place anywhere from 1 to 4 PokР“В©mon in a circle and a Shadow PokР“В©mon is placed in the center of this circle. There are two different ways of purifying PokР“В©mon: one way is to use the Purification Chamber, and the other is to carry the PokР“В©mon in the party just like in PokР“В©mon Colosseum. Once a Shadow PokР“В©mon is captured the player then has to purify it. will appear one final time with the final obtainable Shadow PokР“В©mon in the game. Once the player has obtained 82 of the Shadow PokР“В©mon Miror B. will appear and have a Shadow PokР“В©mon that the player was not able to catch. If at some point in the game the player cannot catch a Shadow PokР“В©mon, there is a second chance available: at random points throughout the game an antagonist, Miror B. Their usefulness is also increased by not having to use PP when you use a move, as they can be used as often as needed within a single battle. These moves often have lowerР’В power than their non-Shadow counterparts, but still inflict more damage due to being super effective. This changed once Generation IV brought physical and special moves for each type.

Shadow moves can be either physical or special, which is the only type of move that was capable of this in Generation III.

Each Shadow PokР“В©mon has a set of Shadow moves that it knows to give it more variety in combat, which is a significant change from PokР“В©mon Colosseum. In this game there are 83 different Shadow PokР“В©mon to capture. Shadow PokР“В©mon are captured using the Snag Machine, as in PokР“В©mon Colosseum. The main focus of the game, like its predecessor, is to capture Shadow PokР“В©mon and purify them. This would fill the 'tempo' gauge and allow for most efficient purification. Ideally, four purified PokР“В©mon would be arranged in a clockwise fashion so that each would have a typological advantage over the next. I don't why but that's how they made the game.In the new 'Purify Chamber' mode, the player arranges purified PokР“В©mon around a Shadow PokР“В©mon to purify the latter. In general, a lot of the shiny textures look really bad in colo/xd. I have changed most of the shadow pokemon and moves quite drastically in the next version though so it won't actually have it in future.Р”Р„s for shiny beldum, that's how it looks in vanilla XD.

In the original they're mostly useless moves like charm, baton pass and refresh soР’В I wanted to take that mechanic a step further with fun and useful moves. I was already added a bunch of fake shadow moves into the game so I felt I might as well throw in a few regular ones too.Р”Р„s for why phanpy has it, in XD, shadow pokemon typically gained a special move after they were purified which they could not normally learn. Wild flare was needed because there were very few physical fire moves (fire punch, flame wheel, sacred fire). For example, there is only one physical fairy move (play rough) so I added play fair which is just a weaker version for early game mons. I added a few new moves to fill up some of the gaps in move variety. May I ask why there's a move called 'Wild Flare,' and why Phampy learns it?
